Ontario’s Chief Energy Conservation Officer to speak at Georgian College’s Energy Conservation Week Trade Fair

(Barrie, Ontario) To mark Energy Conservation Week (ECW), Georgian College has convened an ECW trade fair. The event runs from 12 pm to 4 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2008 and features a dozen local and regional businesses active with energy efficiency products and programs.

Georgian College recently completed a systems retrofit (heating ventilation and air conditioning - HVAC and lighting retrofits) which has seen a 30% reduction in energy consumption on the Barrie and Orillia campuses.

This energy efficiency activity has been recognized by the Chief Energy Conservation Officer, and earlier Georgian College was awarded the Bell Canada Green Award in recognition of this activity.
