Ontario Ministry of Energy and GreenSaver welcome 200th applicant to MEER Program

GreenSaver will celebrate the 200th application to its Multifamily Energy Efficiency Rebates (MEER) program on June 16th in Ottawa. The program, which is funded by the Ontario Power Authority, provides over $30 million in energy efficiency upgrade incentives for a wide range of upgrades including lighting, heating, air conditioning, cladding and windows, and many others.  Apartment buildings, co-ops, shelters, condominiums and other dwellings with six residential units or more are eligible to apply.

The event will be held at Queen Elizabeth Towers in downtown Ottawa.  The building has completed a chiller upgrade and will receive $38,000 in rebates. Phil McNeeley, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and MPP for Ottawa Orleans, will be attending. Representatives from Ottawa Hydro and GreenSaver will also be on hand.
