Ontario Power Authority to discuss strategy to build a 350 MW gas-fired generating station in northern York Region by 2011
(Newmarket, Ontario) Dr. Jan Carr, CEO of the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), will speak to northern York Region Chambers of Commerce on Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Dr. Carr will provide background on the process and content that led the OPA to its 2005 recommendations; provide an update on industry’s progress in achieving those recommendations; and describe the upcoming procurement process – the stakeholders, their roles and the critical path. Members of the OPA project team will also be on hand to provide a comprehensive technical briefing to interested media.
